Win3.0 just ate my hard disk. I was running in "Enhanced 386" mode. I
bought a new EDSI disk and manage it with Disk Manager from OnTrack.
I'm running MS-DOS 4.01 but its FDISK could only see 270Mb of the 320Mb
on the disk. Win3.0 won't come up in "Enhanced 386" mode on this new
disk ... it just goes into the bushes. I'm *NOT* using SMARTDRIVE
and find I have to use the HIMEM that comes with Windows rather
than the one that comes with 4.01 to get Win3.0 to come up in "Real"
mode.
Anybody have any recommendations or observations or suggestions?
Trashing of disks is distinctly uncivilized behavior and I'm getting
real leery of running Windows 3.0 at all if this is a liklihood.
Cheers, Scott
