HELP !!!!! I need some assistance, PLEASE!!!!! I just loaded Windows 3.0 and Lotus 1-2-3 Release 3.1 won't run from Windows. If I exit Windows, Lotus runs fine. I'm running on a 286 clone, with a 40 Mb hard drive, a VGA monitor, and 5Mb of Ram (1Mb on the motherboard and 4Mb on a Parity Plus memory board). Each time I "double click" on the Lotus icon on the desktop, the Lotus logo screen comes up, and then a "not enough memory to run" message comes up. Then I am returned to the Windows desktop. I tried to change the 123.pif file to show only 128 Kb of memory needed, but this had no effect. Please let me know of any ideas you may have to correct this situation at the address below. Thanks a lot. -- Bob Paster One Bell Center UUCP - swuts!ucoerp Room 12-A-02 Southwestern Bell Tel. Co. St. Louis, Missouri 314-235-2741 63101-3099

Try contacting Lotus. A colleague of mine was having a similar problem (1-2-3 would run, but would only report a few K of free memory on a machine with 5M installed), so she called Lotus tech support. The tech support person was very helpful and suggested several things you won't find anywhere in the manuals, and she's managed to get 1-2-3 to see nearly 2M of the memory so far. -- __ __ _ | ...!nexus.yorku.edu!xrtll!silver | always (__ | | | | |_ |_) >----------------------------------< searching __) | |_ \/ |__ | \ | if you don't like my posts, type | for _____________________/ find / -print|xargs cat|compress | SNTF
