I started developing user documentation for a DOS application by, in part, setting up the DOS app in a window and copy/pasting screens to WinWrite. These screens include high order ASCII "drawing" characters which are translated into: +, -, |. I would like to retain the original characters, but haven't figured out a way to do so. Given the translation, after "File - pLacing" the WinWrite document in PageMaker, all dashes "-" are compressed (using the Courier font). Thus, eighty dashes look like forty dashes. Spaces and all other characters retain their mono-type size. I would like to retain the original dash size, but haven't figured out a way to do so. Any help on either font problem will be greatly appreciated by me and the readers of the documentation. At this time I am forced to eliminate these special characters from the copy/paste transfer and use the PageMaker line/box drawing tools (laborious). barry ps please post to the list or BARRY_FLOYD@MTS.RPI.EDU or USERE9W9@RPITSMTS, thanks.
