[comp.windows.ms] Page Orientations in Windows; How to switch easily.

burgoyne@eng.umd.edu (John R. Burgoyne) (01/06/91)

There is a program in the util directory of cica called flipper.zip.
It runs as an icon, changing appearance when double clicked to reflect
the fact that you have changed the printer orientation.
Points vertically, portrait mode. Points horizontally, landscape mode.
Its really a great util if you frequently change orientations.

I called MS yesterday and discussed the issue with their tech. sup. Their
answer was to change printer orientation or page size by embedding the
escape sequences in the text. Sorry Microsoft, WordPerfect does it better
when it comes to switching orientation wihin a document. I hope WordPerfect
for Windows violates the Windows standard of only changing printer orientation
through the Windows system level functions.
