   Race prepared Triumph Spitfire Mark I engine and transmission.
           Basic engine is Mark I 'Big lifter' block (second series)
           Bored to 1203 cc
           Venolia light-alloy racing pistons with full-floating pins
                        and Teflon keeper buttons.
           Balanced and shot-peened rods
           Head ported, polished and cc'd.
           Unbreakable 6061 aluminum rocker arms.
           Light-alloy pushrods.
           Kasner A7 cam (288 duration x .493 lift)
           Mark II header (4 into 2 into 1)
           Chrome crankshaft
           HD oil pump
           Baffled oil pan
           Lightened flywheel     
           All rotating/reciprocating parts dynamically balanced
           Has REAL 8500-rpm redline (has seen 9000 without harm)
           Sorry, never been on dyno but suspect 125+ horsepower
   4-speed Spitfire transmission (stock ratios)

   This engine was overall Club points champion in 1983, running in G 
   Production class. Switched to GT-4 in 1984 and won Class championship.

   Price with fresh bearings, rings and valve job $700.00 complete with
   gearbox. Buyer pays shipping. 

   This is a very tractable engine and will idle smoothly at 1200-1400 rpm,
   so is useful as street or slalom engine.
