Jumping on the bandwagon, I too use Write for all my basic word processing. We have Word for Win 3.0 (which I haven't used, except experimentally) and PageMaker (which I use alot, with Write, Excel, CorelDraw, etc. documents). My major complaint, and hope for correction, lies not exclusively with Write. Windows programmers are not adhering to any one style guide when setting up menues. Write "should" have an OPTIONS menu (located after the EDIT menu) instead of a DOCUMENT menu, where all DOCUMENT options except PAGE SETUP would appear (PAGE SETUP "should" move to the FILE menu, as with every other application I know). FILE - REPAGINATE "should" be moved to this OPTIONS menu. The FILE menu should have a CLOSE option (and it would be nice if Write supported multiple documents - which would entail a WINDOWs menu). The HELP menu "should" be moved to the far right (as with all other Win 3.0 applications). The EDIT menu "should" have CLEAR and SELECT ALL options. A related complaint pertains to dialog boxes. FILE - PRINTER SETUP should access the same Win 3.0 dialog box as PageMaker, Control Panel, etc. And printer page orientations "should" be a function of PAGE SETUP (on a page by page basis) not PRINTER SETUP. I would ask that two word-processing functions be added to Write; 1) Support multiple rulers per document (a la MacWrite - cut, copy, paste the ruler); 2) Support a mail-merge protocol. As previously mentioned, it would be nice to have multiple documents supported, but I can now run multiple copies of Write instead. hope to see these features in Win 3.1 (rumored to be out 5/22/91). barry
