Well as this topic came up, I though I'd see if anyone else has noticed the strange behavior I have seen on this. Like all windows features, the more memory you have the better it behaves. I have a PS/2 55sx with what they call 2Meg(Just enought to start to be functional) running version 4.01 of IBM PC DOS. The behavior I have noted is that the PrintScreen key dumps the screen to the Clipboard and Shift+PrintScreen dumps it to the printer. Of couse if the application has some key sequence to dump the screen that should work as well. Now for the problems: If the printscreen function in dos(before windows) is a shifted key it will only go to the ClipBoard under windows. Worse yet on anything other than a 386 in 386mode printscreens always go to the clipboard. If the application has a seperate printscreen key sequence, that still works. I have seen this behavior under several dos versions on platforms from 8088s to 80386s. I believe this is a known bug but would appreciate a workaround if one is known. I know about pasting the clipboard into the Notepad for text or Paintbrush for graphics and printing from them but that is a nuisance. Maybe another version 5.1 fix? Thanks in advance for any additional info. .
