[comp.windows.ms] WinQVT/NET Freezes my COM2 port

donnel@helix.nih.gov (Donald A. Lehn) (01/16/91)

I'm using WinQVT/NET and it is working fine. However, when I try to
run a non-windows communication program, my computer freezes up. This
did not happen before I set up WinQVT/NET. I should note though that
I can use Crosstalk for Windows. Its procomm+ that won't work. My
computer is an IBM PS2 model 80 with the 1200 baud IBM internal modem
on com2. Com1 is hooked up to a Graf/Bar digitizer.

Has anyone else had this problem?

While I'm here I would also like to say that WinQVT/NET is a pretty
good program. Additional features that I would like to see added
include:

1) The ability to redirect output to both screen and printer

2) A screen buffer and the ability to scroll back more than to the top
of the screen.

3) The ability to copy to printer as well as copy to file.

4) The ability to have yellow as one of the colors.

Best regards,
Don Lehn
