Some interesting bits of info A for generalconsumption 1. If you don't have winver.exe in your windows directory, then setup will assume that you don't have windows installed on your hard disk, and will give you the "Welcome to windows" message, and will make you go through a full installation. Very irritating if you just want to add a driver. 2. In the system directory, there is a file called setup.inf, which is a text file. You can muck around with some of the values in there with interesting results. For example, I edited the amount of space required on my drive so that setup would not scream. You see, when reinstalling windows on top of a previous installation, you *know* you have enough disk, because setup will overwrite the old files, but unless you delete them, setup won't agree. Read setup.inf, its interesting. B) For Paradise users. The new paradise drivers, the ones at cica (win30drv.zip, I think) have one disappointment. I used to be able to do a 'mode mono' in a dos window and use my monochrome monitor *in addition* to my 800x600 monitor, but that no longer works. Perhaps this happens only with 800x600, I don't know. I realise that this was not a "feature", but I am disappointed all the same...
