Hi, netters. I'm trying to run Windows 3, but the keyboard on my ALR 286-10
locks up during the Windows boot, and refuses to work. The mouse seems to
work fine, though. Here's the particulars:
ALR (Advanced Logic Research) 286 10 MHz with 1 mb of memory configured as
640 k normal and 384 k extended.
20 mb hard drive, running MS-DOS 3.2
No TSRs or anything else unusual
For installing Windows, I followed Microsoft's instructions to the letter.
I called Microsoft, and they suggested I update the ROM and keyboard
BIOS, which I have done, to no effect.
At this point, I haven't a clue, and, apparently, neither does Microsoft.
Can anyone suggest things to try that might solve the problem, other than
heaving this box off a cliff?
