I just purchased a Boca Super VGA board with one Meg of memory. It is based on the Tseng ET4000 chipset. The board works very well, however, the drivers for Win 3 don't work right with Win Word... What happens? Well, as soon as I try to print a document - *any document* I get an Unrecoverable Application Error and the program bombs. If I start up Winword again, it bombs on just about any operation. This happens with any mode (640X480, 800X600, 1024X768 in 16 or 256 colours) supported by the included drivers and the TSENG4K.ZIP archive on cica. It also happens whether or not I load the FASTBIOS device driver. When I setup Win 3 with the plain VGA driver, Winword works fine with or without FASTBIOS installed. None of the other apps I tried (MS Excel, Write, etc.) have any problems printing (or crashing, for that matter) with any of the Boca drivers. I have a Northgate 386/20 (older, big case model) with 4 MB, and 65 MB RLL DASD, running Win 3.0 (not the "a" release) and Winword 1.1 dated July 3rd, 1990. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
