I am considering buying a new computer, and right now is either a Mac (big bucks) or a Windows box. Since I write quite a bit, I want a very nice WYSIWYG word processor. I noticed at a computer lab that when one has proportionally spaced fonts, screen updating is slow and jittery. I really was surprised by how bad the "script" font was! It really took forever! Does anybody know how to fix this? Please mail me any suggestions and your thoughts regarding the relative merits of the window boxes versus a mac.
