[comp.windows.ms] .PIF collections similar to FRAQ'a?

bgeer@javelin.es.com (Bob Geer) (01/24/91)

I spent a good amount of the weekend playing around with .PIFs getting
applications to run under Win3 on a 386-20. I bet a lot of folks do
this, often repeating experimentation others have already done. What
we need is a CLEARINGHOUSE.PIF file.

Would anyone be interested in collecting & collating .PIFs into a
"frequently asked questions" type of file? Sure would come in
handy...

(So, you ask, why don't I volunteer? I don't have reliable e-mail or
aftp access on my `dust-bunny in the corner' subnet at this location,
nor the storage facilities this might require to do properly. Then,
there's the boss, who might not be so happy about it.)
