Has anyone out there ever used NETROOM from Helix? Actually, has anybody used the ram-man program that comes with it? Even more specifically, the XLOAD program, too? I just got it the other day and have been trying to get it to load things into high memory. If I want to put things in high memory, then I need a switch like EMS=XXXX-YYYY or XMS=XXXX-YYYY. Unfortunately, when I add any switches to the command line, Windows freezes the whole system upon startup or it will tell me I need to remove some TSR's or free some memory in some way before it will run. At the time I run it, I have 550K free. Anybody gotten it to work? I'm not thrilled with calling out to New York on their non-800 support number. I am running a 25MHz Gateway 2000 (Micronics motherboard, non-cached) with ATI VGA Wonder, 4Megs of memory, and no network. (I know, why did I buy Netroom! It costs less than the other memory managers and does what I wanted it to do, though I haven't figured out how yet!) David R. Zeller 3kw@mace.cc.purdue.edu (play) zeller@sage.cc.purdue.edu (work)
