[comp.windows.ms] DR DOS 5.0 and Windows 3.0/386E swapfile problem

ries@venice.SEDD.TRW.COM (Marc Ries) (01/26/91)

Is anyone running a DR DOS fdisk'd system and is also running Win3 using
a permanent swap file >successfully<?

In repeated tests it appears that as soon as you create a permanent swap file
on the DR DOS partition (note this is not a partition that has originally
been formated by MS DOS), subsequent attempts to copy files onto that
partition will return "no disk space left" errors, even though DIR reports
that there is plenty of room.

In my current situation, I can only keep the swap file on a separate disk
that still retains the MSDOS fdisk format (vs the DR DOS >32MB fdisk).

Anybody have a work-around?
