It would highlight the correct area, but no text would appear. Aside from that and the flaky spacing in the Eras fonts, all of the fonts worked rather well. However, now I have to figure out where I'm going to PUT 2MB of ATM fonts on my poor hard drive. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Randy Spangler | Get your mind out of the gutter | | rspangle@jarthur.claremont.edu | you're blocking my periscope | --------------------------------------------------------------------------

It sure is a great collection of fonts if they all worked. WARNING! Excel 3.0 and ATM 1.0 don't work correctly together. The new version of Excel has problems with ATM. I have reported this to both Microsoft and Adobe. Both admitted it was a problem, but so far no answers. The problems I have seen are with axis labels and attached text in charts. Sometimes things look good until the charts are printed, other problems surface right away.

I don't >know what the representation format for Adobe Type 1 fonts is. Maybe >someone could enlighten me? > i also had some strange problems with these fonts: i just recently aquired ATM ( yesterday, just after i dloaded the 36... fonts from cica ) and installed it. i also installed all the '36...' fonts as well. to check out the fonts i poped open WfW, updated the printer driver, and then began to play. i typed a few lines in the document, selected them. and then repeatedly changed the font and pointsize of the fonts. needless to say things got very confused. the selection of text became garbled, ie parts of characters in irregularly spaced rectangular regions were updated while the rest stayed in the prior font. attempts to reselect the range of text only added to the confusion. finally, i just deleted the document and tried typing things in fresh. for some reason there was no discernable character output, i would just get regular spaced vertical line segments that seemed to be of hieght proportional to the point size of the font. i think i had ATM set up correctly, i had read pretty thorougly through what little documantation there was. has any experienced person downloaded these fonts and found similar problems?....

Wolf, can you list the font names found in 36psfnts.zip? I saw this zip file but have not been able to download because of it's size. (perhaps someone can break it in two?) Thanks.

I have confirmed the problem. Could the poster of the fonts please correct the files? -- - Jeff (jaltman@ccmail.sunysb.edu)

Fine I had the same problem with these fonts, but don't complain about the 2Megs, I have nearly 8 Megs (with theses files) and I don't want to keep them all on my hard drive but I'm having a problem selecting which ones I want to keep installed. It seems to take forever for windows to startup (Wiht ATM an so many fonts installed). What does it do - Read every single font????? I don't think so, but what slows it down!!! -- gerardis@quiche.cs.mcgill.ca | The sun is the same in a relative way, | but you're older | And shorter of breath and one day | closer to DEATH.
