Several people have asked whether the files on cica and other Windows archives have been virus checked. I'm wondering if there are any known viruses which work in Windows at all. It seems to me that tradition MS-DOS viruses would fail to correctly modify Windows programs. Does anyone know of a Windows program ever being virus-infected? -- Jim Seidman (Drax), the accidental engineer. I know of at least one. The Jeruselem virus can make files give you an UAE message. It dosen't seem to be able to get at every type of file, although it will become part of it. For example; I got the Jeru virus sonn after getting Windows and it made the Write program disapper, while it left paint- brush alone. Why the virus is selective in Windows i just don't know -- ========================================================================= You can get anything you want :-) lobb@freezer.it.udel.edu at Alice's Restaurant (-: "If you fly with Satan you have to "Arlo Guthrie" :-) pay the stewardesess."
