[comp.windows.ms] HMA

kusumoto@chsun1.uchicago.edu (Bob Kusumoto) (01/31/91)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but am I right in saying that only one program can
be in HMA at one time? I'm just wondering since if I load the Novell
XMSNETx driver, QEMM and Desqview will avoid putting thing into HMA (is
this someone that the memory manager does then or is this supposed to be
convention?).

Need an alternative to himem.sys, need more low-dos space?
I've been using Qualitas' 386MAX with Windows 3.0 in enhanced
more for a couple of months with 0 problems! I believe
the new Windows support comes free for registered users.
Qualitas is in Bethesda, MD at 301-907-6700. Great product.
