[net.auto] Anti-Theft Devices

A fellow employee bought what I thought was a very clever and
inexpensive anti-theft device for his car stereo.  It was
nothing more than a facade that plugged into the cassette
opening and completely covered the cassette player, making
it look like an el-cheapo AM radio.  I think his speakers were
under-the-dash units, so they were already out of sight.

A few people have asked me where they can purchase one of those
facades that make an expensive stereo look like a cheap AM radio.

According to a fellow employee here, they are available at most
car stereo stores (in the metro-Denver area, at least).

Even cheaper... on a plain white address label type the words,
"Montgomery Ward". Trim to fit the edge of your favorite cassette,
and leave it inserted far enough in the deck to keep the words visible.
Black electrician's tape can usually get rid of other identification.
