B&M manufactures a wide selection of kits with which you can tailor your slushbox to do what you want. The line includes shift improver kits, reprogramming kits to change your shift RPM and ''violence'', and the one I went for, which allows full manual control over what gear you're in. So now the fo'-by has a semi-automatic trans in it; you have to shift, but there's no clutch. And if you want to be silly, you *can* start out in second gear in the snow, but really, it's a lot more fun to drop it into first and throw snow in every direction! The B&M kits can be obained at virtually any speed shop or mail order house. I got mine from Midwest Automotive; decent prices.
