I did what I thought should be necessary to change to the new trident drivers in the hopes that I would get a speed increase. I copied the new w1024.drv over the old one, and then ran the setup utility. The program didn't ask for any new files, because vddtvga.386 was already present in the directory from the old trident driver. (I compared file sizes and dates of the old vddtvga.386 to the new one and figured they were the same file.) The new driver doesn't appear to be working. It is signifigantly smaller, and I assume that it's faster. I was able to get the new 800x600x16 driver working, and noticed a great speed improvement over the old 1024x768 driver, of course that may just be due to the lower resolution. Anyway, is there anybody who was successful in getting the new w1024.drv driver working? If so, please send me E-mail.
