[comp.windows.ms] Is FLASH.EXE at cica *DANGEROUS* ????

derek@ibmpcug.co.uk (Derek Jones) (02/16/91)

Is flash.exe at cica, (currently in the uploads directory) dangerous??? I ran
it and shrtly afterwards got a FAT error, though PCTOOLS shows up nothing wrong
 - it could just have been that I was pushing my disk too hard, running scan
(what else!) in a DOS windows at the same time as a Windows based find utility.

Please, tell me (and the list) the worst, or put my heart at rest.

:(

Thanks

Derek Jones.

There has been a rumor that FLASH.EXE causes UAEs (Unrecoverable
Application Errors). It seems that someone posted it as a joke.

The file has been removed from cica.
