[comp.windows.ms] WfW reordering menu items

bchin@is-next.umd.edu (Bill Chin) (02/21/91)

I'm trying to customize my WfW 1.1 menus, and I would like
to change the order or insert new macros at a specific point.
I've RTFM'ed and the FM only refers to the macro "Macro Assign
To Menu" which allows me to add or remove macros to the menu,
but by default adds them to the bottom of the menu. I would
like to add some in the middle. Has anyone done this? Thanks
in advance.

Macro Assign To Menu has a *major* limitation: if you remove the built in
menu assignments, assign your new macro where you want it, and then start
to re-assign the built-in macros (beneath your addition), the built-ins
will automatically be placed into their default slots.

No way (other than writing a bunch of "user-macros" that call the built
in macros you want to shuffle around...) around this at this point that
I would recommend.
