Hi all.. One thing I really dislike about Windows is how much unneeded space the title bar and the bar below it(with File Edit etc..) take up on the screen. Together they are at least 1/2 inch high! Is there any way at all of getting rid of them or making them smaller? How about the scroll bars? Same deal.. too much wasted space. Another question, what exactly is ATM? I know Adobe Type Manager, but what *is* it? All those new fonts on cica, what are they for? Windows? Word for Windows? As you can see I'm not very up to date on these matters.. A question on WNQVT: Is there a way to change the font size? At least in terminal you have control over fonts, even though not much else.. :) File Manager: Is there any possible way to 'mark' more than one file for copying, moving, what have you? Sure you can mark them all, but what if I want to move 1/2 of them? Metz Desk Navigator does this nicely, but I figure File Manager should be able to somehow.. In an earlier post, it was mentioned about converting GIFs to BMPs with 256 colors, to just change the video mode to fit 256 colors. Is this easy to do? What I installed Windows, I simply let it decide what my system was.. I have a VGA monitor and card, but I think Windows is only using 16 colors, not all 256.. How can I fix this? And how can I find out what Windows is using in the first place? I have an Imtec 1453Q VGA.. Is there any way to change the color of just one Window and not any others? preferably everytime that application is opened.. How do you get usher to switch to a directory before running the application found there? Right now if I run the main program, it can't find the associated files it needs because usher didn't change to that directory.. Whew! I didn't realize I had so many questions until I started asking them! :) Any and all help is appreciated. If I get enough responses, I'll happily summarize and post it.. Thanks for your help.. --Matt ------------------------------------------------------------------------- #include <standisc.h> MSR113@PSUVM.PSU.EDU richmond@endor.cs.psu.edu mattsr@vivaldi.psu.edu
