[comp.windows.ms] News Reader in WinQVTNet

emills@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu (Evan Mills) (02/22/91)

Hi. Just downloaded the most recent copy of WinQVTNet.
I love it, but I cannot get the news reader portion to work.
In order to connect to the NNTP server, I need to specify
a *port* as well as an IP address. Is there a way to
specify both in the QVT_NET.RC file?

Thanks in advance,

Well, usually the way to specify a port is to put
it after the IP #. Eg:

129.3.1.67 2000

is port 2000.

Problem is: how do you know which port to specify?

NNTP readers work off of port 119.
