I have a 386SX with 2 Mb of RAM, an ST296N hard drive, and a 1Mb VGA card with the TSENG4000 chipset. My problem is this: Windows will spontaneously crash out to dos whenever I try to run paintbrush. I've tried running paint in 640x480x16, 640x480x256,800x600x16,800x600x256, 1024x768x16, and 1024x768x256 modes. I've tried it with 1 Mb on board, and I've tried the lower res. modes with only 512K on board. It _STILL_ crashes. WHen it dies, it leaves behind a 2-3Mb WIN386.SWP file too. ALSO, I am having problems with WINGIF, when trying to load in large 256 color images.
