I called Cincinatti Microwave last week to order
a Passport, and (surprise!) I found out that all
I could do was get my name on a waiting list that
guaranteed delivery in late May. Two questions:
(1) Does anyone have any experience of
getting a Passport immediatly, or
well before promised delivery time?
(2) Does anyone know if they are experiencing
production problems on the Passport, or
is this caused entirely by buyer demand?
As usual, please spare me (and other netters) flames
on legality/morality/whatever of radar detectors.

It still has not come. In fact, in an apparent attempt to keep him from cancelling his order, they did send him a fancy, color, glossy promo booklet along with a note telling him that it would be coming, some day ... Doug ordered his right when they first came out. I've heard of others in the same boat. I have not heard of anyone who has gotten one. I can't see as it is worth the wait. It is the same electronics as the standard escort. Alien
