Has anyone else out there come across a possible incompatibility between Bitstream FaceLift and Informix Wingz? Occasionally when I have attempted to format a spreadsheer with a FaceLift font (or several) I get an UAE and Wingz crashes. At first I thought this had been something to do with the sheer size of any Wingz spreadsheet and that FaceLift requires a fair amount of memory itself, resulting in my machine simply running out of memory. However, when this happened a few more times I found that not only could I not load reload Wingz ( even with a worksheet with no FaceLift fonts on it), but that I also couldn't load Word 4 win either. I thought that perhaps there was lots of ~*.tmp files lying around on my hard disk an d fragmented memory lying around in my RAM, and maybe that FaceLift cache file had been trashed, so I exited Windows, cleaned up my windows\temp directory from the DOS prompt and then hard re-booted. The problem was still the same. I tried reinstalling Wingz, but that was no good either. However, when I reinstalled the Bitstream fonts (without reinstalling Facelift itself) everything went bak to normal. It was as if somehow Wingz had trashed my BTFONTS directory. Has anyone else had similar problems or can think of more feasible hypotheses to mine to explain whats happening.
