I have found the use of WINLOAD to be helpful in preventing, on occasions the automatic entry to WINDOWS 3.0. In my old autoexec.bat file I had a series of file deletes to clean up my disc on exit-ing Windows. Here is the trick! I have now put these clean up commands in a file called WIN.BAT in the root directory of the boot drive and have the PATH statement as PATH=c:\;c:\windows; ....... etc to ensure that WIN.BAT is called first instead of win.com in the windows directory. [WINLOAD calls WIN without a suffix] regards, Tony Stevens -------------------------------------------------------------------- | A.J.
