Dear All, I have a problem with the symbol font supplied with Winword. I'm using an HP IIP and Bitstream FaceLift. Ever since I installed FaceLift the Symbol Font (symbole.fon and the 10 or so associated softfonts that Winword installs in the \pclfonts directory) won't work. This in itself is not a problem as I have the Bitstream Symbol A Typeface package which provides all and more of the symbols that symbole.fon does. However, when ever I try to use the bracket or integral switch in the formulas field the symbole.fon which supplies the characters for the brackets etc. is replaced with something that looks like the system font. The right ansi characters are there, I checked, but in the wrong font! This is not just a problem on screen either. The print out is exactly as on Screen. The Bitstream FaceLift manual says that FaceLift is incompatible with the Roman, Modern and Script Windows fonts and that they should be removed, but says nothing about the symbol font. If it is incompatible, as it appears, is there some way I can make Windword use my Symbol A Bitstream font instead when creatin brackets etc. I use the formulas field quite considerably so really would appreciate any advice with this problem. If there is anyone else with a similar problem let me know and any answers I receive I'll forward on or post to this group. Thanks in advance, Darren.
