Talking of networks and Windows 3, I'm trying to use the $25 network on an Elonex 386SX (16MHz, 8MB, 40MB) connected to an Amstrad PPC portable, both running DOS 4. While it works fine under DOS, I can't get it to work properly when running WIndows 3.0 in enhanced mode on the Elonex. The suppliers (EQ consultants) treated me like an idiot and were generally unhelpful. Perhaps somebody on the net can enlighten me? I've tried running it at low speeds as suggested, but no joy. I load the network BEFORE running Windows, also as EQ grumpily suggest. I wrote down a message that appeared in debug mode and the response was 'No. We don't have that message. It can't have said that. You shouldn't have put it in debug mode.' It looks like a good product, pity about the appalling service from this particular distributor.
