For what it is worth I have a few comments about the Apple vs Microsoft suit. How many times have you looked at a project that some one else has done, be it a program or model airplane, and said to yourself "I could do that better by tweaking this or that". If you have you have experinced good ole "Yankee Ingenuity". Yankee does not mean just american ingenuity either. You don't copyright an idea or a thought, you copyright a product or a logo. If Microsoft has developed a GUI for IBM machines all the more power to them. It is good for competition. This battle shouldn't be fought in the courts it should be fought in the free market place. The company that the better product will be the winner. There are some caveats to this. No company should steal another companys programing code and there shouldn't be any cheating that would interfere with the free market. It is a shame that corprate America has to resort to lawsuits to compete. No matter who wins this case we, the users of Windows and of Macs, will all loose. If Apple wins it will set a dangerous precedent for future software development. If Microsoft wins it may signal that it is allright to copy other peoples ideas and not create your own there by stagnating the development process. For what it is worth that is my $.02. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Gaeth | Standard Disclaimer. P.O.
