Hey, I'm trying to use Win 3.0a on a Novell network. Everything works well, except when I try to print to a shared laser printer with downloaded soft fonts... We use Softcraft fonts with MS-Word 5.0b. I've taken the various font files created by Softcraft and tried to install them into windows. I seem to have been successful: the fonts show up on the format dialog (Excel 3.0) and display ok. When I actually print something it seems that windows wants to download the font temporarily. This isn't good because it takes forever to print. If I make the font permanent, yet do not download them (so that windows *should* use the already downloaded fonts) MS-Windows prints everything in Courier. It seems that font Id's or something do not match, so, it appears MS-Windows can't use fonts downloaded for other software. Does anyone know how can I setup Windows to use the fonts that are downloaded for MS-Word? Please help! Thanks lots! -Paul Smith - ADPC - Purdue University (psmith@ecn.purdue.edu) PS: Please E-mail responses - I'll summarize after I get things working.
