REcently when printing Corel Draw 2.0 files we wanted Linotronic L100 Typesetter output. We ended up getting an error message saying dictful; OffendingCommand: def WHich I assumed was a bug in either the Corel 2 or Windows 3.0 driver. We switched the drawing to Corel 1.2 and printed. It came out, but on 8.5x11 paper instead of the requested Tabloid Extra size. They both appear to be the same bug, and it looks like a Windows 3.00 or 3.00a driver bug. It also happens from other Apps (paint). It appears that a workaround is to perform the printer setup twice. If you do printer setup and switch from (in our case) Apple LAserWriter to Lino with Tabloid Extra, then go back into printer setup you will notice that the setup will say Lino but the page size will be A4. Redo the setup until it is stable at Lino Tabloid Extra. I contacted Corel initially and their recommendation was to print to file multiple times until Windows gets it right... I contacted Microsoft and their response is there are some bugs in the lino postscript driver and a new release will be coming sometime. I had to ask specifically to get a call back when this is available. I would be interested in hearing about others that experienced this and also whether performing the setup twice fixes things for you. thanks.
