I am trying to help someone setup a compuad with a tzeng graphics card
that has 1mb memory. They have a Seiko 1440 monitor. I got some drivers
sent to me from compuad to enable 800 and 1024 256 color modes under
windows 3.0.
Problem: 1024 of course is interlaced mode and is annoying so I will use
800 mode.
The 800 mode with 256 colors driver does not work???When I run win, after
a short while the C: prompt comes back. The 800 mode 16 color driver kind
of works. Pagemaker, winword, designer, win3 apps work fine but excel 3.0
prints GIANT fonts everywhere, yes giant, about point size 100 for the
initial about screen. wierd. Everything else works though?! I did not
reinstall excel, I shouldn't have to.
The 640 16 and 256 color modes work fine.
Question: Do you have this configuration and does your 800 mode work?
