Regarding the recent thread on equation editors: I have used the hDC Formula editor which is only available as part of the IBM PS/2 bundle for Academia. It is not even worth looking at. It is extremely limited in its capability, and makes you jump through hoops to import into W4W in a manner that looks halfway decent. It is really a toy app. In the "Windows Shopping" booklet from Microsoft, two other equation editors are advertised: 1) Mathtype from Design Science (213) 433 0685 list price: $249 I called them and asked about an academic discount: 10% off list. 2) Eq! from GCA (219) 273 0903 list price $299 I called them and got an answering machine!!! As I am relatively sure that there are many others interested in importing equations into W4W, I would appreciate it if anyone who might have some further knowledge might let me know. In particular, will W4W feature a complete equation editor in some future version, or has anyone successfully mastered the equation editing "features" inherent in W4W ?
