I am thinking of purchasing a Honda Civic S 3 door hatchback. Does anyone out there have any information on this car. I would certainly appreciate hearing from anyone who currently owns one. In particular I am interested in handling, power, gas mileage and any other comments, good or bad. Thank you -- Steve Grice philabs!micomvax!steve

I got over 35 MPG in the city and found that I could carry more in that lil' Honda than in my (previous) Ford Granada. I now am on my second Honda - Accord LX - and am still sold. My only caveat on the Civic is that the road noise and vibrations on long trips can get to be a bother. But the road handling and acceleration were good. Bill osu-eddie!caribou!bill

I am thinking of purchasing a Honda Civic S 3 door hatchback. ---------- I've had one for about seven months. I like it a lot. It's little and light and quick and feels not unlike a sports car. Gas mileage is reasonable (28 start/stop, mid-40s highway). I'm not crazy about the Honda radio. The shift linkage is ok, but not really sharp. I'd buy it again if I had the choice. scott preece ihnp4!uiucdcs!ccvaxa!preece
