I have 386/SX with 2 meg memory, I installed ms-dos 4.01 and win 3.0. I have the following mouse problems. If I do not start mouse.com Windows mouse works fine but I have no mouse for DOSSHELL. If I start the mouse.com from autoexec.bat I have mouse for dosshell but when I exit dosshell and start windows I have no mouse for windows. Has anyone seen thsi problem. Thanks Gary

Keywords: WIN I have a possibly related win problem. A ps/2 55 with 2MB and a BICC Ethernet board. With the ether board drivers in the config.sys, the first time I load win after booting it takes a couple of minutes AND when loaded the mouse is unusable since it overshoots any hand movements horribly. Any application and even drawing wallpaper runs at less than 1/10 speed (not timed!). After getting out of win and rerunning it it is fine. Taking out the bicc drivers and bus arbitration driver win behaves like win all the time. Any ideas? Ive tried a swap file! Rob Thirlby, Loughborugh University Computer Centre. R.Thirlby@lut.ac.uk

I have a similar problem on 386-33 (4 MB) running in enhanced mode. When I run windows, the mouse will work maybe 1 time in 10, whether or not I load mouse.com. I have driven myself crazy over this and I cannot find a problem. If I figure it out, I will post it. I have had trouble posting on any board, as well as getting any personel mail sent, I can't seem to send mail even though I can get it. Christopher Landers PURDUE UNIV, sorry but I am not gary bass. my 386/16mhz may have a similar problem as the other note about pro logic... mouse. If I start mouse.com or mouse.sys appropriatlly DOSSHELL(4.01) works but windows has no mouse. If I kill the mouse driver and turm turbo off I have a mouse for windows then I cut turbo on I still have mouse. I just upgraded to 2 meg and went from standart mode to enhansed mode. Anyway tahts what is happening. Thanks Gary
