I recently tried to download nagel.bmp files from cica.cica.indiana.edu by sending: ftp cica.cica.indiana.edu uuencode user anonymous jmw@brahms.amd.com cd /pub/pc/win3 get INDEX binary cd bmp get nagels.zip get nagel004.zip get samfox.zip get zipaper.zip quit But only the 'samfox.zip' and INDEX files arrived -- everything else returned the message: 'No such file or directory'. The INDEX file shows nagel*.zip and zipaper.zip in ~ftp/pub/pc/win3/bmp, though a second attempt returned the same error messages. Email to postmaster@cica.cica.indiana.edu about the problem has gone unreplied for about a week. Has anyone here got any clues about this that they can share? Please email responses. I always thought that archives were there forever (As in nailed down)... It might not be a bad idea to share with the net information such as this about your site. Is there a general summary of your archive policies about duration of files within your site. I have enjoyed the general wandering within your site and would like to be able to count on finding things there when I get back 6 mo or a year later.
