[comp.windows.ms] Corel Draw/ATI Wonder Question

yeates@motcid.UUCP (Tony J Yeates) (03/26/91)

I notice in Corel Draw that I some times get one or more annoying
horizontal lines across my pictures. I thought this might be a Corel
Draw bug, but they say that they had not had any reports (and they are
generally pretty helpful), and suggested it may be the driver for
my ATI Wonder Card (OE version, i.e w/o the mouse port), this seems
feasible. Pictures print out without the horizontal lines, no problem.

I am currently using, I think, the first SVGA (800x600) driver that
ATI provided for Windows 3 - I got a 1024 SVGA driver at the same time
but found it made text too small on my 14" screen. I was wondering if
anybody else had come across this problem, or anything similar with
the above driver. Do I need (/does there exist) an updated version
of this driver?

I have the same problem. It occurs only in the preview window, not
the drawing window. I'm using Corel Draw 2.0 running Windows 3.0
with a Paradise graphics card using 800x600 and drivers I got from
Western Digital. The problem did not occur under Corel Draw 1.xx
with the same card and drivers. I haven't gotten around to calling
Corel on this yet.

I have a "line" problem that crops up with the ATI Wonder+ Mouse (V4)
10XX by 10XX driver in Arts and Letters that didn't show up in the 640 x 480
driver. The lines are not always horizontal, but in all cases, when they
do show up, they should not be there. Forcing A&L to redraw the screen
gets rid of them (for the moment).
