I have a real winner braking problem with my 80 280ZX. When I am going down a flat road and apply the brakes, everything seems fine (the car slows down in a straight line). But when the road is crowned (the edges of the road slope down from the middle) and I apply the brakes, the steering wheel turns (by itself) about 30 degrees towards the direction of the slope. Here in New Joisy, there are a lot of crowned roads, so this is becoming a real habit. The current servicing I have done includes: new brake seals (all 4), new brake pads (all 4), new brake fluid, and all 4 rotors have been cut. I used "genuine" Datsun seals and pads. I have taken this problem to two places (Datsun, C&D in Red Bank) but they can't find anything wrong. The front tires are balanced and don't show any sign on mis-alignment. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate your reply. I am getting desperate. (Otherwise, the rest of the car is great). - Steve Krapes link!shk AT&T Bell Laboratories Holmdel, NJ (201) 949-6044
