I am impressed, I must say.

Despite your herculean efforts, you will probably not be able to run
Windows 3.0 in standard or enhanced mode under VP/ix. VP/ix creates a
"V86" mode DOS box for you where you do NOT have access to protected
mode. All you have is a virtual 8086 processor running in an apparent
meg of memory, with a few OS hooks available if you're a very smart
program. Windows apps that can't run under WIN /R can't run under
VP/ix.

Has anyone heard when Merge or VP/ix will be DPMI compliant? I notice that
both Locus and Phoenix are parties to the the DPMI spec, and I've heard that
Windows 3.1 will be DPMI compliant.

They could, if VPIX and ISC (or whatever you happen to be using) supported
DPMI (Dos Protected Mode Interface). Although I'd tend to agree, that
"creeping featurism" is ruining the industry, I'd still like to have this
feature... By the way, could anyone point me to that "net debug fix"?
