I need to buy a new car and, for various reasons, have narrowed it down to
two. I need to know which is best to buy, based on history, etc. Comments
about these cars, especially first-hand experiences, would be most helpful
and appreciated. The two are:
1985 Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon
and
1985 Ford Escort/Mercury Lynx
Thanks.

We own 2 of these little rascals and my wife's car heats up just fine, so that might not be a common problem. Overall, if you are looking for a nice little around town type car, I have no complaints about the Lynx. (NOTE: Don't let them talk you into manual steering to save money. As little as the car is, you'll feel like you were "pumping iron" real quick.) Have fun car hunting. Hope this helped somewhat. Wayne ...!ihnp4!{akgua,akgub}!cylixd!wayne
