Hi net world!!! This is a question for Windows 3.0 gurus who have been using Excel 3.0!!! Just got my upgrade to Excel 3.0 yesterday. Installed it and was up and running. This thing is amazing!!! Had no problems till I decided to use HELP for some info. Well, I went into Help and selected Index. Next thing you know, I got an Unrecoverable Application Error - Terminating Current Application!!! Put me back into ProgMan. I loaded Excel again and tried Help again. This time I got an Out of Memory Error!!! Well I went into my hDC Memory viewer and found out that I had over 6Meg available. Looked at it closely, and there was memory allocated to Excel!!! Excel was not even running at that time. Apparently it hung up without releasing the memory. I thought this was some compatability problem with Qemm of some other driver. I removed everything and started with himem.sys and smartdrv.sys as the only two drivers. Same result. Tried Standard Mode. No cigars!!! I tried every possible way to get it going that I could think of but to no avail. The rest of the Help menu items work fine!!! The only ones that give the UAE error are Index and Keyword. I have been running Windows for a while and have run everything from ATM, Winword, Excel 2.1d, Pagemaker 3.01 and what not. Never had any compatability problems or UAE's!!! My machine setup is as follows: 386-20 Mhz Motherboard 80 Meg Seagate St4096 MFM Drive 1 3.5 and 1 5.25 drives 8 Megs of RAM AMI 386 Bios dated 4/9/90 (latest) MSC Mouse (serial) QEMM 386 5.11 or Himem.sys smartdrv.sys with 2048 1024 options I want to know if any one else is having the same problem or is it just me!!! If there are any Microsoft people out there reading this, please HELP!!! I will be calling you guys Monday anyway!!! Thanks, Azam
