[comp.windows.ms] converting .gif files to .bmp format

aragorn@csd4.csd.uwm.edu (Steve J White) (04/06/91)

I recently acquired a program for converting .gif files to .bmp files for
Win3 to use for whatever purpose I might have. Most of the files that I
convert using this converter seem to cut the image in half and completely
screw with the color scheme of the image. Does anyone have any suggestions
or comments on this?

There is a program that is called WinGif. It runs under windows and
allows you to view .gif and .bmp files. It will also save as .gif or
.bmp files. I believe you can get it off of CICA.CICA.INDIANA.EDU.
