How well does Adobe Type Manager do at providing additional PostScript fonts to a true PostScript printer with a limited number of typefaces? I have the IBM 4019 printer with the economy PostScript option and 4 MB of RAM and was wondering how well printing works with the downloaded typefaces. Some specific questions are: Does the font downloading take a long time? How much memory do donloaded fonts take up? What typefaces are printing service bureaus most likely to have for their typesetters after Times Roman and Helvetica? What font do people recommend using as a more stylish alternative to Helvetica? Are the fonts available to character mode DOS programs like WordPerfect 5.1 or limited to usage by Windows programs? Thanks for any and all replies. *-----------------------------------------------------------------------------* | Robert Burgoyne CALCE Center for Electronics Packaging | | Industrial Liaison University of Maryland | | burgoyne@eng.umd.edu College Park, MD 20742 | | Compu$erve: 76234,2425 (301)-405-5323 | | | | "Improving the quality of electronics hardware through software | | development and research into physics of failure models." | | | | I speak for myself, CALCE has enough people speaking for it already. | *-----------------------------------------------------------------------------*
