I am developing an application in Excel which automatically identifies all the precedents of cell. Then it will change the colors of those cells and if possible will put arrows from precedents to current cell. I know Excel already provides some thing like this in its Show info command. My question is, is there any macro funtion in Excel that takes a cell and returns all its precedents. I searched the excel function reference manual, but couldn't find one. Can any one tell me how to do this. If it is not readyly available can you suggest a way that I can write a macro to do this function? I am using Excel 3.0. Thanks in advance. Sarat
