[comp.windows.ms] FMSOUND, FM10.ZIP, and FMSND10.ZIP

There have been many questions about what features are and aren't available
in the demo version of FMSOUND, which we are sorry to notice weren't included
in the documentation.

Apologies for inconveniences. The synopsis is:

Player:
Limited number of songs can be played. I can't remember just how many,
but it's not really a problem. The registered version can (technically)
queue up several thousand. I don't think this limit will ever be
      tested.

File Modification is disabled. This adds a trailer to the end of the
.ROL files that gives Player the info it needs to load the song about
twice as fast. Especially useful on 286s and down.

InstEdit:
.BNK files cannot be saved. Instruments can be, but you can't save
your changes back to disk in any form.

SoundPanel:
Saving the configuration to disk is disabled. This means that you can't
keep your configurations from session to session, and when you quit the
SoundPanel program, your configurations go back to the default.

We felt that this was a good comprimise between giving users a full-functioning
demo, and cinvincing them to register.	If you feel that this is unfair, we
will be glad to hear your opinions.

Please send wuestions to rafetmad@cub.oxy.edu .
