I'm wondering if anybody has seen a certain printing feature in a Win 3 app. When I was working on a NeXT a couple of years ago, it had an interesting option in the "page layout" menu. You could ask it to print more then one text page on a physical page. So, for instance, you could print 2 pages side-by-side (in a landscape orientation), each 5.5x4 inches, or 4 with each a quarter page size, etc. It would do all the scaling for you, of course. It was a nice way to print tons of stuff (source code, say) without wasting too much paper (until the font became too small to be readable). Has anybody seen an app with this feature for Windows? Presumably it wouldn't work well without font scaling (Postscript, ATM,etc). But then, more and more people seem to have at least ATM. And even Windows will be able to scale fonts soon...any year now. Right? :-) James Harold harold@lpf.umd.edu
