I am looking for the simplest cheapest way to do a toy program as a prototype windows application. I have seen two books that offer limited windows programming software with the books. Each provided a quasi-basic like language with the ability to generate simple applications. (I thought the C windows programming book with software from Addison Wesley which advertised "NO SDK" was the answer, until I talked to them on the phone and found out this was an error in advertising) I understand these are not equal to the SDK and MSC6.0 or to Actor or etc. Does anyone have any experience with things like this and could offer some suggestions?
